Setting up your Stripe Payout Account on Planit takes just a few clicks. To give you complete peace of mind, this connection functions strictly as a one-way bridge to receive money directly into your linked local bank account. Because it operates exactly like a standard Carousell or Airbnb payout setup, Planit and Stripe can only push your hard-earned booking earnings to you, they can never pull or deduct money from your account.

Please ensure you have completed Step 1 and created your account before proceeding.

1. Set up your Payout Account

Why do we need this?
This allows us to pay you for your bookings. We partner with  stripe  to process all payouts safely and deposit your earnings directly into your bank account.

Before you start: If you see a yellow notification at the top of the page saying that your payment details have not been confirmed, this means your payout account has not been fully set up yet. 

Step 1: Set up your Payout Account

To receive bookings and payments through Planit, you will first need to complete your payout account details. This allows your payments to be processed securely and transferred to your bank account.

Please make sure the information you enter matches your legal name, contact details and bank account information.

Account Type

Select the type of account you are registering with.

• Choose “Individual” if you are registering under your personal name.
• Choose  “Company” if you are registering under a registered business entity.

Account Details

Please fill in your basic personal or business contact information. Please double-check your email and phone number, as these may be used for verification or payout-related updates.

Bank Account Information

This section is used to connect the bank account where you will receive your payouts. Important: The Account Holder Name should match the name registered with your bank. This helps avoid delays or failed payouts.

Review and Agree

Before continuing, please review all details carefully. Once everything is correct, tick the checkbox to confirm that you agree to the terms and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.

Then click I confirm this information to proceed.

Step 2: Complete Stripe Verification

After submitting your initial payment and bank account details, you may see a notification at the top of the page saying:

“Your Stripe account requires additional verification details before payouts can continue.”

This means Stripe needs a few more details before your payout account can be fully activated. 

To continue, click on the notification bar.  You will then be redirected to Stripe’s secure onboarding page to complete the remaining verification steps.

Stripe Account Setup

After clicking the verification notification, you will be redirected to Stripe Connect, Stripe’s secure onboarding page. This page will ask you to confirm your contact details before continuing.

You will see your email address already filled in. You can use the same email address you used to register on Planit, especially if you already have a Stripe account.

Next, enter your mobile phone number. Make sure the country code is correct.

Once your phone number is correct, click Submit to continue. Stripe may use this number to verify your identity or send a confirmation code during the onboarding process.

Verify your Bank Account Details

After submitting your email and phone number, Stripe may ask you to verify the bank account number linked to your payout account.

In the field provided, enter the bank account number that you submitted earlier when setting up your payout details.

Please make sure the account number is entered correctly and matches the bank account you want to use to receive payments. Important: DO NOT INCLUDE Bank and branch codes in this field.

Once the account number is correct, click Submit to continue.

Verify your Personal Details

After verifying your bank account number, Stripe may ask you to confirm your personal details.

This information is required by Stripe to verify your identity, keep your account secure, and meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Once all details are complete and accurate, click Continue.

Verify your Identity

After confirming your personal details, Stripe may ask you to verify your identity.

This step is required to confirm that the person creating the payout account matches the legal name and date of birth provided earlier.

On this page, Stripe will show the details that your photo ID must match.

You will then have two options to complete identity verification:

RECOMMENDED: Option 1: Retrieve Myinfo with Singpass

This is usually the easiest option. Click “Retrieve Myinfo with Singpass” and follow the instructions to verify your identity securely through Singpass.

Option 2: Scan Photo ID

If you prefer to verify manually, click “Scan photo ID”.

Stripe may ask you to scan a valid photo ID, such as a passport, NRIC, FIN card, or driving licence. You may also be asked to take a selfie using your mobile device to confirm it is really you.

Important: Please make sure your ID document matches the legal name and date of birth shown on the screen. If the information does not match, Stripe may not be able to complete the verification and payouts may be delayed.

You may see a “Skip for now” option, but we recommend completing this step immediately so your payout account can be fully verified.

Complete your Business Details

After verifying your identity, Stripe may ask you to provide some basic business details.

This helps Stripe understand what type of services you offer through Planit and ensures your account meets payment processing and compliance requirements.

For the Industry field, choose the option that best describes your business. For example, if you provide catering, decoration, photography, entertainment, event planning, or venue services, select the closest available category.

For the Website field, Stripe may already show your Planit listing page. This is the page where your services are listed or promoted. Please check that the link looks correct before continuing.

Once the information is complete, click Continue.

Review and Confirm Your Information

After completing your business details, Stripe will show you a summary of the information provided.

Please take a moment to carefully review each section before confirming.

If anything is incorrect, click Edit next to the relevant section and update the information before continuing.

Once everything is correct, click Confirm.

Confirmation — Stripe Onboarding Completed

After clicking Confirm, you will be redirected back to Planit.

If your setup was completed successfully, you will see a green confirmation message at the top of the page

This means your Stripe payout account has been connected and your payment setup is complete.

You can now continue managing your vendor profile, adding listings, and receiving bookings through Planit.

1. Test Transaction 

Test Transaction & Verification: > Before we proceed, we need to perform a quick test transaction. Please email us at hello@planit.sg to coordinate this. You will likely need to create a temporary duplicate listing priced at 1 SGD specifically for this test. Once completed, your account will be fully verified and functional!
